Coffee, kebap
& curry.

Cloud9 is a Turkish grill, an Indian kitchen and a coffee house, run out of one small room by two families who couldn't agree on whose food to serve — so they serve it all.

Our story

A business student who chose hospitality over a boardroom.

“I came here with a suitcase, a business plan, and a stubborn belief that a good cup of coffee can hold a whole room together.”

Shubh Magajwala left India for London to study business management — a life of spreadsheets, supply chains and late-night case studies. On paper, the plan was a corporate desk and a tidy career.

But every evening he ended up in the city's cafés, watching how a warm welcome turned strangers into regulars. He realised the business he actually wanted to be in wasn't consulting — it was hospitality. So he began sketching a café that paired the food he grew up with and the coffee culture he'd fallen in love with, turning class projects into a real, working business plan.

Cloud9 is that plan made real — Shubh's dream café, where a business-school vision meets an Indian kitchen's soul, and every guest gets a seat and a story.

How the room is split

One roof, three counters.

Every order at Cloud9 comes from one of three stations — each run by someone who learned it before they learned to ride a bike.

Ocak — The Fire

Turkish Grill

Charcoal, hand-minced lamb, and a skewer technique Mehmet still won't fully explain to the kitchen staff. Adana, İskender and lahmacun come off this fire.

Masala — The Spice

Indian Kitchen

A tandoor, a spice grinder that runs from 7am, and Priya's grandmother's dal recipe, timed to a 24-hour simmer that never stops on a Saturday.

Kahve — The Cup

Coffee House

Turkish coffee simmered in sand, filter coffee roasted upstairs on Tuesdays, and a chai recipe that starts every shift, staff included.

Book a table

Come argue with us about which counter is better.

Tables are held for 15 minutes past booking time. For parties of 8 or more, call us directly so we can push a few tables together.

Good to know

We hold a handful of walk-in seats at the coffee counter every night — first come, first poured.

Let us know about allergies in the notes field; both kitchens cook to order.
